Made on the Yorkshire coast for a hundred and forty-seven years. We supply cafés, kiosks, farm shops and vans from Filey to Scarborough and beyond — and we run our own shops and vans while we're at it.

Straight to your inbox. No salesman ringing you afterwards.
Kiosks & shops
Our own counters on the coast, scooping the same ice cream that leaves the dairy for everyone else.
Van hire & events
Weddings, birthdays, school fairs, galas and work dos across the Yorkshire coast. The hatch goes up and everyone forgets about the buffet.
The list
Nothing by that name — but we'll make it. Ring the dairy.
Allergies: we do vegan, dairy-free, halal, and gluten-free cones and wafers. We can't offer anything guaranteed nut-free — it's all made in the one dairy, so we'd rather tell you straight than have you find out the hard way. Full allergen sheet with every delivery.
Our story
Robert Dale started making ice cream on this coast in 1879. The business was incorporated as Robert Dale & Sons in 1952, and it's still run by the Dale family today.
Same coast, same family, same job. We make it, we sell it out of our own shops and vans, and we supply cafés and kiosks up and down this coast. That's the whole business, and it hasn't needed changing much.
